RE:RE:RE:Hope.

RE:RE:RE:Hope. If you wish to take it to extremes, then life itself has risk.  I don’t know what your point is other than you think you are so much smarter than everyone else.

Very thing has risk
brilliant!  However, some investments have more risk than others.  We each, on the basis of our own personal experiences, formulate degrees of risk that we find acceptable and those we do not.  While risk is somewhat objective, risk tolerance is not.  Therefore, your mindless blather about dumping at first sign of a problem is not only foolish but can be very expensive as well.  I cannot recall a start-up I’ve followed over the last 20 years that didn’t encounter unexpected challenges and occasional setbacks.

The first sign of trouble is when you can really see the quality of mgt. and their efficiency in resolving the problem.  My test for mgt. is not that nothing ever goes wrong, but that they can quickly come up with a solution.

I would explain how we each assess the risk vs. gain ratio, but I’m not sure you would understand.
