Stockhouse would do well to practice some principles
Stockhouse would do well to practice some principles I often judge actions taken by a rhyme or reason, intentions and very much by principles or lack thereof. Arbitrary actions may make sense in some abstract way to the practitioner but make no sense to anyone else. They take what someone else has given to someone else and destroy it. This has to do with taking one's thumbs up after one year and destroying it for no discernible reason whatsoever. If you have money in your account and haven't used it in a year should I be able to take it? Of course not but even that would make sense at some level because your money would have a value to me. To take it and just destroy it for no reason has no reasonable factor to it. If I give someone a thumbs up it is given by me to them for them to have. Stockhouse didn't give it, doesn't pay to maintain it, receives no value for destroying it , so why? Some people put effort into their posts and if I put a thumbs up in their account it is theirs not Stockhouse's. We are all pretty much anonymous get payed nothing for our posts, so if you've been posting for years your reputation score is really the only thing you get for your efforts and they destroy it after a year. Last I checked a reputation takes a bit longer than a year to achieve, some people build it for a lifetime. Your reputation is your property not Stockhouse's. Oh you haven't used your gold and silver in a year so I will just take that and just for kicks I will throw it away just because I can. You could be posting for ten years and take a year off and be back at zero same as the new guy that signed up just this morning, explain that in anyway that makes sense. It's some twisted slavery concept. I just thought I should mention it as I was at 706 made a post and got one thumbs up and later came in and was down to 692. As meager as it is it is still the fruits of your labour and someone taking it is one thing but just destroying it for no one's gain is malevolent.
