RE:RE:Discontinuing Coverage - Paradigm CapitalMy older sister worked at the old Wood Gundy many years ago and I remember her telling me that every once in a while they'd just terminate the entire research department. Whatever it takes to get to profitability, eh?

Sounds like Paradigm needs very badly to cut expenses somewhere. You want to keep the top salespeople because you can see clearly how they bring in the $$$$ every day. But investment research is much more fuzzy in terms of cause and effect. Like effect as in ka-ching ka-ching.

And coverage of companies that aren't likely to give you underwriting business? That would be the coverage that's going to be the first to go.
