RE:RE:Weekly U.S. Ending Stocks of Crude and Products

RE:RE:Weekly U.S. Ending Stocks of Crude and ProductsWhile I can understand the sentiment of the BC Green party leaders desire to help
the average person cope with the struggle to pay for the basic neccesities of life,  e.g.
gas and food,  this is just more of the same type of knee jerk lack of critical thinking
that our politicians serve out when a crisis hits.

They need to ask how is punishing the oil & gas companies with higher taxation rates
on their profits going to encourage an increase in drilling and supply.  Negative
reinforcement maybe works on a dog,  but it is not going to work in a sector that is
just recently becoming profitable after years of struggle in a severely depressed state
where most took on massive debt and many went broke.  Share holders in the sector
were staring at massive losses in their portfolios and many just took their losses and
shunned the sector all together.

The ignorance and stupidity in solving problems without studying the issues thoroughly
first is typical of gov'ts and does nothing to increase confidence in their leadership.  It
is pandering to emotions and the public laps it up.  Ignorance and incompetence is
not going to provide solutions but only make them worse.
