I will repeat it again and ask that answer;
Does the Trust which now holds 24 Million+ shares of CEO's shares have to report any sales of those shares? Or are these shares no longer considered being held by the CEO?
the trust owns 6MM shares according to the news release, not 24MM.
indirect ownership under trusts and holdcos has to be reported to SEDI, but if he is not a beneficiary (no ownership) and not a trustee (control) I am not sure if these shares fall under that reporting. perhaps someone else here can confirm.
in any event - nobody knows if this is truly a tax play or if he is trying to not-so-secretly liquidate 6MM shares. my guess is the former because he owns another 15MM+ shares under personal control. if there is a deemed disposition when transferring to the trust, best to do it at these depressed price levels if you're planning on i) selling the company outright, or ii) entering into a transaction that could see the share price jumpup from here.
you and Bud think you've found some smoking gun, but the market doesn't seem to be making a big deal of it?
