Yeah, make it Mining Investment 101.  Now just being a simple o' desert rat I kinda have to keep things the same.  And as a precious metal contrarian swing-trader for the last 20 years I’ve been focused upon macro currency relationship and not on supply/demand market influences such as we find in basic materials.

From such a perspective, the folly of pricing metal producers according to present spot is quite evident.  I don’t intend or need to sell tomorrow for a profit – next week will be just fine.  Or next month as well although my philosophy of agility in stressed markets becomes threatened much later.  Exploration companies without a bankable feasibility study are considered long-term speculations and are rarely tradable due to low float.

For the near-term I can say this:  Things will be better than feared if China steadies itself, or much worse if a debt contagion takes place.  All things said and done as uncertainty rises, so do safe haven like gold.
