RE:RE:RE:RE:ValtreixalAs I look furter into it, maybe Almonty should wait for Los Santos to end.its life cycle.
After looking at this Los Santos video,
https://youtu.be/VN3qcx-CymU
you can see that all the equipment, support and building structure steelwork, walls and roofing, conveyors and so on, are in pristine condition. Like almost brand new.
Lewis strives to cut costs, so all of Los Santos could be dismantled and reused for the Val project.
The only thing they cant reuse is the concrete foundations and slabs.
They should also have all the detail and design drawings from Los Santos to easily lay new concrete foundations and slabs.
All the engineering has already been done and just a few geo ground tests and some tweeks to site layouts will make all this less expensive.
As with most "end of life" mines, the Govt. bodies wants the site to be returned to as close as possible to original previous state, ie soil remediation and replanting native vegitation.
Due to climate change and the big holes in the ground at Los Santos, this might be an exception for a future water reservoir, which might take decades to fill, but would future proof the country in drought.
Tungsten is not toxic and does not float.
Any way, it is all ifs and buts at the moment.
