RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Cargill salt mining problems continue to mount in America Scion, whether one believes in Global warming or not, the recorded extremes over the last few years are well documented, hard to deny that it hasn't been hot. Are temperatures higher or lower when compared to the 1,600's, the reality is they are recorded today very accurately.
I remember when I was a kid back in the 50's, it was cold, it snowed and stayed, and when the snow covered the roads, they simply left it in most places until it melted. Today, people expect the roads to be cleared within 24 hours, and they generally can only do that with salt. There seem to be colder colds and warmer warms, and greater flux in between, thus the combination of the demand to see clear roads by residents and more transitions between hot and cold, the result is more salt required - this is GOOD for Atlas..
As far as heat and drought goes, has everyone seen the data from the heat, fire and drought in Portugal, Spain and now in the UK. Nothing short of spectacular, the warmest temperatures ever recorded. Portugal had temperatures above 47C in some locations, man is that hot, they had a peak of 440 deaths on Thursday and 659 deaths for the week. Same in Spain, over 360 deaths for the week. And of course this results in no rain, severe drought, and massive forest fires.
