RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:LookIt's income redistribution. For example you pay $1000 in carbon tax, and get $300 back. Low income earners perhaps pay $300 but get $1000 back. That is in addition to the progressive income tax that also redistributes income in the form of benefits that lower income earners get but mid-high ones do not. Stay tuned for when they announce the Garanteed Min Income for Canadians. That policy will be that everyone gets a min $20,000 annual income, whether you work or not. Welcome to the socialist republic of Canada.
