Gold bergWhat is interesting to me is that by my rough calculations we have gone from 27 million ounces to 40 to 50 million ouces. As these results come in and if Zorg's hypothesis of all deposits being connected pan out that could go to 100 million ouces with the potential of shallow high grade that would be a game changer. Kinross just took a flyer on GBR and paid 1.8 billion for an unknown amount of gold with a starting point around 10 million ounces , and if that holds up then possible 18 billion for Goldberg! Now that would take a consortium BHP, Exxon, Newcrest, Newmont, and Barrick. In these terms very do-able. I imagine the companies that were thinking about pulling the trigger at 27 million ounces are kicking themselves in the rear end. It might get worse as drills turn for them. Interesting waiting game being played. P.S. - I know some are scoffing at the mention of Exxon, but oil companies are loaded with cash and must do something and a gold allocation may not be that far out of bounds. WW Imagine the royalty on 100 million ounces!
