here's my take: how about people take an immunity test so you know your immunity status?

Totally agree !
It feels like public health has let everyone down with one size fits all solutions. "get your next dose", "but maybe waiting until the fall will be better", "don't get them too close together or it can mess with your system", and "it doesn't look like there is much protection for BA4 or BA5 if you had prior strains or got the shots".
Here's something I read two days ago.
People who were infected with Omicron, a variant of SARS-CoV-2, had 76.1 percent protection against symptomatic reinfection from BA.4 and BA.5 and 80 percent shielding from any reinfection, regardless of symptoms,
Pre-Omicron infection provided just 15.1 percent effectiveness against symptomatic BA.4 and BA.5 reinfection and just 28 percent infection against any reinfection. My understanding is that the Exact Antibody test can determine the version of Covid one had, not just relative levels of antibody protection.
So wouldn't it be nice to take an Antibody test for yourself, and your family to determine and manage your own particular/individual risk - versus one size fits all public solutions that are confusing at best, and perhaps dangerous to one's health at worst?
