RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Serious questionHeart attack and aneurysm repairs = no smoking of anything for me. If the stock is unchanged a year from now, no I won't be happy. And a 5% or even 10% dividend won't make me any happier. This stock moves that much in a day. Or an hour. The premiums on near the money calls are that much. I owned it a year ago, it closed at $1.93. So, no, a dividend would not matter. I owned it 2 years ago, it was 0.68, and a dividend meant nothing to my 2 year return. Etc. A year from now, when the stock is $10-$15, the 30-60 cent dividend will mean nothing. That's what I'm expecting. NOTE, not next week, month, quarter so don't bother reminding me if it doesn't double according to the timeline of a trader or an adolescent missing his Ritalin . If peace breaks out and the world finds multiple Jed clampett multi billion barrel oil fields right at surface beside a highway and oil crashes to $20, bte is done for, and that 30-60 cent dividend will mean nothin Jed . Many, many producers increased or started a new dividend this year and NONE of them escaped the market correction and NONE dropped noticeably less because they have a dividend. It's just the latest BS soft bashing pile of nonsense scare tactic to help shorty or buyers in the bushes by trying to fool investors into selling. But go ahead. Or do you think complaining about no dividend will help you make money?
