RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Canadian? You're no better. The world see it, why don't you?The Economist considers 21 countries full democracies, Canada is one them, rated 12th. The U.S. is rated 26th, and is amongst the 'flawed democracies'....as of 2021. Ironically, America teaches the lesson well, both Germany and Japan are considered 'full democracies', just doesn't do it very well. Considering the lesson of 'no taxation without representation' is one you helped imprint on the world, it's the strangest thing to see the U.S. generating the same feeling of trustrated anger in it's own people by denying them the right to a fair election, which many states work at by gerrymandering the voting districts ( so designing the districts that they are not competitive ), and to frustrate the will of the majority. This is best demonstrated in republican states, though the demo's sometimes try their hand at it too. In a well gerryandered district, the 'other' party is irrelevant, so the candidates for the only party that can win, because of the peculiar design of the district, vie for the base of that party...and in that competition become increasingly extreme.........thus gerrymandering districts encourages extremism because that's the way to win. Thus the growth of extremism mirrors the increase in gerrymandered districts.
