RE:RE:More Woodlands politics. My thoughts on Rai.
He was a brilliant and aggressive business buyer earlier in life.
He is smart and goes with his gut, making buys when others are selling.
He has no issues going hostile, but, can wear down people with patience.
Crook? He is a billionaire, and I doubt any of what you are suggesting would even occur to him.
I've watched Twc since he forced Federal to spin out the rail in a rights offering. Never seen anything like what you are suggesting.
Rai has lived hard. His habits I believe are catching up with his age.
He barely answered questions at the Morguard and Twc annual meetings letting staff speak.
That is a huge change. The whispers in the Toronto development community is that he is not well.
The result is feet dragging at HG, not keeping up with market changes.
In house building you need to move fast, margins can evaporate fast. They have at Hg.
Rai has dominated his businesses over the years. Let go valuable staff foolishly. The result now is we tread water to see where this goes.
The health could be a catalyst for change. The is no clear successor. Things ie the co. could be put up for sale.
Meantime, we have a very strong balance sheet.
Golf operations should be great creating very good cash.
I remain a holder. The values are still several times higher that 16.
