Overall, the electricity generation of the company and its subsidiaries for 2Q/2022 grew from 2Q/2021. The positive drivers were: 1) the COD of 3 solar power plants in Japan, named Chiba 1, Komagane and Yabuki and 2) the improved electricity generation of solar power plants in Thailand.
As compared to 1Q/2022, the electricity generation increased in 2Q/2022, which was mainly owing to 1) the high season of solar power plants and hydro power plants in Lao PDR, and 2) the COD of solar power plants in Japan, namely Komagane and Yabuki.
The detailed performances of each country are described in the following.

Thailand
In 2Q/2022, the electricity generation of solar power plants in Thailand grew YoY from the improvement program that improved and optimized efficiency of solar panels of solar power plants in Thailand and the COD of solar rooftop project at Chiangmai University under the name of CMU in the past year, while the electricity generation of the wind power plant dropped YoY due to lower wind speed.
Compared to 1Q/2022, the electricity generation of solar power plants in Thailand increased QoQ. This mainly resulted from the better irradiation and the additional COD of the solar rooftop project at Chiangmai University under the name of CMU compared to the previous quarter. For the wind power plant, the electricity generation was lower QoQ due to the seasonal effect of entering to the low season in the second quarter.

Japan
In 2Q/2022, the electricity generation of solar power plants in Japan improved YoY and QoQ from the COD of 3 solar power plants, including Chiba 1 (COD on November 1, 2021), Komagane (COD on March 29, 2022) and Yabuki (COD on April 15, 2022).

Lao PDR
In 2Q/2022, the electricity generation of hydro power plants in Lao PDR was relatively similar to the same period late year while the electricity generation grew QoQ thanks to the start of the high season in the late second quarter.
