HOW ABOUT SYNTHETIC FERTILIZERS ?
AMMONIA -
"
John Guelly says his grain would by half as high without synthetic fertilizer. "

Within Canada, its use is about 50 per cent higher than it was a decade ago. The ammonia-producing Nutrien fertilizer plant in Redwater is one of the largest fertilizer facilities on the continent, stretching 372 hectares along the North Saskatchewan River. Synthetic fertilizers have changed life for farmers.

in low concentrations. However, ammonia volatilization into the atmosphere has negative consequences for agriculture, ecosystems and human health: • Ammonia volatilization from agricultural land is a loss of nitrogen for plant growth. It therefore comes at a cost for the farmer that needs to be minimized.

Nov 4, 2021Ammonia can be harmful to aquatic life if large amounts are deposited from the atmosphere to surface waters. Nitrous oxide

Ammonia is the preferred nitrogen-containing nutrient for plant growth. Ammonia can be converted to nitrite (NO2 ) and nitrate (NO3) by bacteria, and then used by plants.

HAVEN'T HEARD ?
There's a global movement to reduce NITROGEN -
Not only in Europe, or, Holland, but here in Canada, too.

WHAT ABOUT- MAGNESIUM SULFATE - FERTILIZER ?

magnesium sulfate – helps seeds germinate, makes plants grow bushier, produces more flowers, increases chlorophyll production and deters pests, such as slugs and voles. It also provides vital nutrients to supplement your regular fertilizer.

Magnesium is the central core of the chlorophyll molecule in plant tissue. Thus, if Mg is deficient, the shortage of chlorophyll results in poor and stunted plant growth. Magnesium also helps to activate specific enzyme systems.

Comment -
I don't know about others but....
Magnesium Frertilizer industry could be a far quicker enrty to markets than say...
Solar or battery sector.

Like the big 3 who literally dominate Canada's fertilizer industry....
I wonder if they're scrambling to switch up fertilizers other than, ammonia, nitrogen, potassium ?
Would - magnesium - be on their - must have list ?

My former post -
provided - retail - stats of what magnesium fertilizers sell for.
If one searches overrseas for magnesium sulfate - like in India or China...
One has ot consider the upfront costs of,
Origin country export costs
Freight
Import taxes ( coming into Canada )
= all themore costs

I found another figure for - magnesium sulphate - USA
$390/ton
x 1.25 ( currency exchange )
$487.50

Now tack on import and duty taxes and costs to transport to destination -
Transportation costs are through the roof - now.

So.... yeah....
i could see a nice lil niche - magnesium sulfate - market in, Canada.
Own opinion.

This lil junior should probe the fertilizer industry a tad more....
The Driftwood magnesium deposit - could be worth more than they think -

How about an update - xmg ?

Cheers....

Now Hog.... are you disgruntled that Sabina is not performing ?
How about your prized - tusk ?
lol
