CARBONS
CARBONS C = carbon
CO = carbon monoxide ( one oxygen )
C02 = Carbon dioxide ( two oxygen )
Carbon like oxygen can bond with many elements.
Where i think there should be clarity pertaining to - CO2 ?
Differenciating what the differences are.
Buring Carbons releases Co2 and Co.
Our earth oceans and atmosphere is comprised of, H2O.
Hence - the mixng of carbons and water.
Hydrogen a component of water, is the chief element that bonds to carbon.
= Hydrocarbons.
Do i think plain ole carbon soot has an oxygen molecule - ha - yes..
But i'm sure other would love to debate.
Where am i headed with this subject ?
Nonother than... FERTILIZERS.
If leaves drop to the earth and decay they create - top soil loam.
Rich black earth that contains the carbon from the tree's leaves and wood.
This sort of carbon should be distunguishes as different carbon than, co2.
Plants drink the carbon with in the soils uptaken by the conversion of moisture in soils and
thus siphoned by plants roots. I'm not partial to the idea plants breath or injest co2 but rather drink it.
CO2 is a gaseous carbon.
And where i see the main problem is...
Burning hydrocarbons.
Buring causes Co + Co2.
And i'm sure other complex ( compounded carbon ) molecule equations .
Reducing the vehicle emmissions, or better managing the Co and CO2 from vehicles and manufacturing by means of, carbon capture devices such as diluters = big positive.
If not... the gases rise and with solar rays...
Heat the atmosphere.
Which affects the straosphere and beyond and - ocean are heated.
Which swell with the heat, alter the jet streams = climate changes occur in diff regions.
Fertilizers....
Let's pull forward - Magnesium Carbonate.
The phrase has - carbonate with in.
This is yet another arena in which must be, differentiated.
Calcium carbonates and the bonding of, Carbon.
This is not a Co2 -
Rather it's an inert carbon solid attached ot oxygen - in which plants feed on.
Inert = solid
Carbons mix well moist soil = allows plant to up take the carbonate salts and Mg mineral.
CARBON - different types - a superb discussion -
Especially for those in the ministry in mines, energy, resources -
All are elected - many have not a clue about minerals and are more skilled at - politics .
I shudder the tohught of an elected individual seeing any word associated to carbon like the mineral magnesium carbonate - and my hunch says... not a chance to bring forth the project online.
Hnece - addressing the differences of carbon - is truly needed.
I figure this could be one ofthe reason for many mineral projects not coming online.
And if explained properly... would clear up many issues. I watched several sessions of Alberta parliment leaders discussing the new direction of green energies - yup... several were not versed on this subject and most looked at the latter ( monitary ) benifits. They're not scientists they're politicians.
JUNIOR PROPOSALS -
if any ( one ) junior -
explained carbonates in this fashion during a written or oral proposal.
And addressed it in a fashion with flow sheet that dealt with the carbonates in an extraction model that kept the calcium intact - explaining how the carbon in calcium is hydrophobic in the phase of carbonate - such would do wonders. And, reinforce the matter of how plants actually eat - they drink.
Cheers....
