RE:Portfolio manager buying SXP recently

What did you buy or add?

We are always striving to keep high quality names which in this market environment are companies that are growing and still showing profitability and have very high margins. These factors are especially important in conditions of high inflation. One name we recently added is Taiga Building Products Ltd., which manufactures decking, railings and accessories. Other names we own include Supremex Inc. for envelopes and paper; and Hammond Power Solutions Ltd., which manufactures transformers used in electrical equipment and systems. These have been very profitable names for us and we have increased our position in them lately. We are also adding some restaurant operators, a sector where we still see some growth potential post-pandemic, such as the Keg Royalty Revenue Fund and the SIR Royalty Fund. Both have a dividend yield of around 8%.
