RE:RE:IRD Since the iTHEIA system is proprietary, only IRD can maintain it; so this reads like a long term committment by NYS and long term revenue for IRD. In the broader sense, street chatter when NYC awarded the traffic congestion contract to TransCore was that they wanted ETC to participate but ETC was not in a position to do so. As a result of this IRD award, it enhances QTRH reputation and it solidly places QTRH as a ITS company with advanced technology for the sector. I think QTRH is smart enough to be able to connnect the dots for potenial customers accross the broad US market.
Second, securing an expansion in a large state like New York provides a confirmation of utility and cost effectiveness of the platform and could lead to further business. Recall the IRD was awarded a similar USD $7.34M 5-year contract by NYSDOT on 14-FEB-2017. I am unaware of an RFP for the current award; however I'm working on confirmation.
Third, since both installation of the platform is non-invasive and the SaaS analytics are ongoing, it also means that the revenue curve should be substantially less seasonal.
Well done IRD.
