RE:RE:RE:Open pit speculationGGG,
Understand what you are saying - but all conversation has been about putting a small mill in place and just cherry-pick the high grade. I think Retiredgeo is not of that mind...the mill should be more robust and capable of processing a lot of rock - to take advantage not only of the nuggety high-grade, but also of the support "haloes" of (merely!) say, sub-10 gpt.
Look at SKE - initially they started by quantifying the "leavings" of the original Eskay Creek Mine (who, back in the day, for very different economic reasons, Barrick decided that anything below 15 gpt was not financially viable...and anything below that cutoff was deemed "waste-rock". SKE now has a Tier ! project...from waste-rock! And they haven't even gone underground yet.
It would be a real shame to see this great project - with so much potential - scuppered by initial short-sighted penny-pinching. Nothing worse than having to do a job twice!

So Retired geo, I think you have been asked before, how many ozs of gold might there be in just NFGC 593? The GGG knows, Ike Knows, BDG Knows and Megacopper knows. So give it your best guess for the board. New Found Intersects 9.12 g/t Au Over 8.20m & 42.6 g/t Au Over 11.75m Starting 9m From Surface & 55.1 g/t Au Over 5.10m at the Keats Main Zone
June 6, 2022 The GGG here, do most people realize how close together these holes at the Keats zone actually are? It's just a short walk to NFGC 21-182 among other monster holes.
New Found Intercepts 146.2 g/t Au over 25.6m in 65m step-out to South at Keats, Extends High-Grade Zone to 425m Down-Plunge
May 21, 2021
Vancouver, BC, May 21, 2021: New Found Gold Corp. (“New Found” or the “Company”) (TSXV: NFG, OTC: NFGFF) is pleased to announce assay results from an additional four holes drilled at the Keats Zone (“Keats”). These holes were drilled as part of the Company’s ongoing 200,000m diamond drill program at its 100%-owned Queensway Project (“Queensway”), located on the Trans-Canada Highway 15km west of Gander, Newfoundland.
Highlights
- The interval of 146.2 g/t Au over 25.6m in NFGC-21-182 is a 65m down-plunge step-out to the south from the previously furthest south high-grade intercept (hole NFGC-21-143, 63.7 g/t Au over 8.4m and 16.9 g/t Au over 2.5m, see New Found news release April 27, 2021) and is the deepest assay interval returned to date at Keats
