RE:Canadian growers destroyed record 425 million grams in 2021I wonder how long it will take for these growers to start selling weed at their roadside stand along with the apples, eggs and the kids manure sales?
I don't feel good about what is happening to the growers and ultimately, I think, there will be more free trade on pot and the growing will be left to the hot, cheap labour countries and the bulk and transportation logistics will be dealt with by squeezing the oil out and shipping in tanks.
I hope all of those greenhouses can be utilized for tomatoes, cukes and peppers or whatever will pay.
My crystal ball is telling me that smokeables are going to the wayside in favour of value added edibles and drinkables which aren't as "in your face" as the aroma of pot is. It will also leave the cartels in business which I think have more influence on policy and lawmakers than they are letting on.
If the cartels bring that black justice to the good people of society to stay out of their supplying bales of marijuana under threat of death to you and all you love and hold dear.
I don't think the black market will set up value added factories or want to get into the pot drink biz but I could be wrong. The mafia legitamized most of their businesses.
I believe that cannabinoid infused beverages will continue to grow but harsh smokeable pot will give up some ground to beverages and I also believe that we have only scratched the surface of cannabinoids for medical. Pharma companies are working on what strains, phytos and science stuff will benefit patients that are already finding relief for their ailments.
I doubt that the cartels and black market will go there either!

ps: Canopy seems to be taking root in Eastern US and I'm hoping they will take a look at Tinley's for California expansion to the Pacific Coast. Tinley's is very underappreciated imho as a going concern in Cali and Canopy/Constellation are probably aware of their advanced stage, as well as others like maybe Tilray.
