CommentOne thing that's interesting regarding the July rebound in Quarterhill shares is that it has not been mirrored at all by two other prominent ITS names. Iteris and Rekor have largely just sat there while Quarterhill rose from sub $1.75 to $2.20 or so.
There was the NYS IRD contract but that was announced July 25, after most of Q's July recovery.
This suggests to me that the improving market sentiment may have more to do with what people are thinking about Wilan than about Quarterhill ITS.
Pure speculation but one thing that could be driving this is real competition quietly emerging among potential bidders for Wilan.
That's the kind of thing where it would be impossible to keep a perfectly tight lid on it. People would have a sense if the conversations are getting intense.
Us here, we wouldn't know. But others would.
That would fit with Q rising steadily while Iteris and Rekor go nowhere.
