“On 3 August 2022, Bolashak Onshore Processing Facility was safely shut down as a result of the detection of a gas release within the perimeter of the site,” NCOC said in its message adding that works to resume production “are currently underway”. The company did not specify a timeline for production restoration.
Kashagan output was down to just 27,230 barrels per day (bpd) as of Aug. 3 versus a July average of 167,755 bpd, Reuters sources said on Thursday. (Reporting by Reuters; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
