It could be priced anywhere between the 10 to 30 cent range. It doesn't matter. What matters is that in fear of loosing control, IB will be forced to convert the debenture into shares. At 81 cents, that about 152M shares. Over the next two years, IB will receive a 4% interest payment in the form of shares. At today's price of 7 cents/share, that a whopping 75M shares for 2 years. That's an additional 150M at 7 cents on top of the 152M at 81 cents. That's a cost base of around 44 cents. I don't know what the final offer may be, but one thing's for sure, I want my adjusted cost base to be below IB's 44 cents.
