Northland Power Inc. is a Canada-based global power producer focused on helping the clean energy transition by producing electricity from clean renewable resources. Without debt, a utility company can't grow. Only Northland knows the future revenue flows for all its projects. If can service the debt with operating cash flows and with a margin of safety, then go for it.

To get these projects is a victory in itself. Ever increasing competition out there.

Most renewables are in an uptrend now. Sector rotation at work? 10 year treasury note yields may come down more as recession fears mount.
 
Asset sell-downs would look more attractive with lower interest rates. Northland may go this route if the price is right. Others are doing likewise. Buyers are out there.
 
August 1, 2022:Masdar and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) are weighing binding offers for a 40 per cent stake in Iberdrola's German offshore wind farm in a deal that would value it at 1.4 billion euros, a source close to the matter told Reuters.
