SelldownsOrsted, Iberdrola and SSE are involved in sell-downs. But only a % of any project. Their motives may be purely financial.
I don't know how Northland approaches selldowns. Share the risk of a project with other partners.
Or maybe for strategic purposes. Potential partners may have expertise in certain aspects of windfarm development.
Or could be a local company which could help things along in a region.
Northland at the moment has no expertise in floating windfarms. But sign up a co-owner, say for the Scottish project, with expertise in floating turbines/ green hydrogen development and projects get developed.
If this is Northland's definition of corporate growth, then it's not about how which way is the best, as long as the objective is achieved.
If at the end of the day I have $1 instead of 50 cents, then go for it.
