RE:Memo from management to employees about cuts?Sorry but I think you're way off with this post. All infrastructure companies have been affected by rising material costs and delays ultimately affecting most projects. These increased costs and delays are typically shared with the client. Yes claims will recover some but those take time to resolve and in the interim share price is affected. Cutting wages and staff is suicide in this market. Poaching of talent is a threat, most companies in this space are struggling to find good people who want to work, thank our liberal government for that one... and as for trucks, have you seen what's happening in the auto industry? You can't get fleet trucks or equipment and orders have a 16-24month lead time. Most manufacturers are halting fleet production and using those trucks to upfit with all expensive options and sell to the public at inflated costs. This has a significant impact to Aecon. You're solution of having employees use personal vehicles to move people in an out of construction sites and carry materials is not realistic. Maybe a better question would be to ask what their utilization rate for equipment is, it's available if you choose to look for it.
Long story short, if you're looking for an easy investment with a dividend not going anywhere, this is your bet. 50% by year end easy...
