The AOI "complex" is getting interesting. I started with AOI, and have since been pulled into Africa Energy and Eco, and the overlaps complicated.
I see Eco as near term catalyst (Gazania) and 3B/4/B farmout (after the farmout, the next stage catalyst likely slips forward few years), and lottery tickets (2nd largest concession holder in Namibia and Guyana).
Interesting combination, but development investing is inherently long term, so Gazania is pretty important to hold attention.
Understand what they are saying with "on trend", the conclusion not the technical justification, but also sounds a bit like "this time is different". Would have thought everything i Guyana is "on trend" with Exxon.
Eco is my smallest stake in these three, but think I will double up on the "low risk" Gazania. I believe it is, but its all relative, and "on trend".
