MusingsSouth Dakota dairy farm becomes more sustainable with methane digesters (keloland.com)
This article highlights the experience of a dairy farm with Brightmark. There is no mention if Biostream is being used, but the earnings report stated that 6 of the ordered 18 Biostream units have been delivered to Brightmark. If this project is successful, is there any questionn if there will be more of them?
The production of RNG is going to be a BIG thing in the dairy industry becasue is drastically cuts down on the methane release from manure (every molecule of methane from biogas that is captured and refined to RNG is one less molecule that is released to the atmosphere.) The byproducts of the waste can also be used as fertilizer or even bedding rather than polluting the ground water as runoff. In addition to that, it adds to the bottom line of the farmer.
Pontificate about the movement of the stock price ifor Xebecf you like--but when the rubber meets the road, the real question is whether RNG has the ability to become the Renewable Fuel to replace the present use of fossil fuels, especially diesel and fossil natural gas. The reality is that it does have the potential, and much more economically and climate friendly than total electric or hydrogen produced from Renewable Electricity.
The most important line from the earnings report was Mike Munroe stating that "Green Hydrogen can be produced from RNG." 60% of the electricity produced today comes from power plants fueled with coal or fossil natural gas. Why not use Renewable Natural Gas instead? The highest percentage by far of pollutants from transportation comes from diesel fueld engines. Why not use Renewable Natural Gas instead?
One of the big roadblocks to the acceptance of RNG, in my opinion, is the use of the words "natural gas" in the name. RNG has nothing to do with fossil natural gas--it is not a fossil fuel, it does not have a release of natural gas at the well head, and it is the cleanest burning hydrocarbon. They should call is "Renewable Natural Fuel" becase the words "Natural Gas" automatically raises the screams from the environmentalists that "Natural Gas is BAD!!!"
There will be companies making a lot of money from the transition of fossil fuels to Renewalbe Energy. There is no reason that Xebec cannot be one of them. It's not Rocket Science
