RE:RE:EV vs ICE in a Rear end Collision

RE:RE:EV vs ICE in a Rear end Collision
I just bought an ICE Subaru Ascent but did thorough research on EVs, PHEVs (plug in electric hybrids) and hybrids. Below is a research source that helped tilt me toward the ICE (that and wait times for popular models and some capital cost savings). But note the CRA allows 100% write off of hybrid and electric vehicles in year 1 if you purchase them for business purposes - just note you cannot take the retail rebates if you're claiming the business wrote off. The graphs on pages 6 and 7 summarize the research article... Basically the Toyota Camry fuel economy performed as advertised for the first 100kms in ideal weather (20 C). 200kms fuel eonsimption doubled, then another doubling at 300kms. The winter test (-40-50 C) performed terribly... My takeaway is EVs, PHEVs, and hybrids will be great for short distances and perhaps for long summer road trips in ideal weather when heat and AC are unnecessary. Like any technology curve I decided to let others finance the R&D and I will assess once the bugs are worked out.
