Further curtailments / mill closures coming....

Further curtailments / mill closures coming....This time last year (Tuesday, August 24, 2021), Canfor announced significant curtailments in their B.C. operations.  Next week they will likely do the same but they may also announce a permanent closure of one of their B.C. mills.  This may provide some support to the price of lumber and CFP’s share price.

They're just running out their log decks.

While the recent run up in lumber prices over the past two years have extended the life of some of these B.C. mills, the writing was on the wall in B.C. for a while now with the beetle damaged wood harvest finishing.

The real let-down for employees is Canada’s lack of response / passive acceptance of U.S. tariffs.  Likely nothing will happen now until after the U.S. midterms in November.
