FT's "date" might not show up tomorrow, but surely someone will act in the near future. EV tax credit eligibility gives the manufacturers a significant competitive advantage that they do not want to forgo. 

Last week, Industry Minister Franois-Philippe Champagne says he's played matchmaker between mining companies and car manufacturers seeking minerals to pursue their ambitious electrification plans.
