Just look at the USA's attempts to court Venezuala for oil only a year or so after trying to overthrow the current government. These were speculative comments on my part and not meant to suggest anything definitive. You can certainly disregard them.
2. With respect to the "monetization" of overdue receivables. This was something I picked up some time ago in a conversation with management. It simply means that SCN could use those overdue amounts as their contribution to a new project rather than coming up with cash.
3. As far as a nickel streaming deal goes, I think that would represent a significant change of philosophy for the Corporation. A cobalt stream is probably more likely. The last time it was entertained the Cubans were slow to get their heads around the idea. Never say never but the last time I spoke with management a nickel stream was not something they were considering.
4. Deferred compensation is an issue you should all be aware of. The vesting period for the huge number of units issued in 2020 during the companies darkest days ends in the 1rst Q of 2023. A lump of cash will then be due former execs. The higher the share price the greater that lump of cash. To the best of my knowledge these particular liability based awards have to be settled in cash. Of course a higher share price probably means higher cash flow and cash levels but its something to be aware of.
