RE:Rio Tinto/Turquoise Hill Resources

RE:Rio Tinto/Turquoise Hill Resources

So the Estimate is $5B gross output per year for 100 years at current spot and Turquiose has 1/3 of the stream?

so the offer is 3.1B for about gross sales $1.7B for 100 years or $3.1B/$170B =1.8%?

I realize no where close to apples to apples comparison here...but WRN trading at $200M with metal value close to $90B or about 0.2%....1/9 the offer from Rio rate. I suppose WRN shareholders will experience similar low ball offer from Rio unless other party bids.

stupid question...clearly market is valuing Turquiose at a certain rate well below the Rio offer...why doesn't Rio just start acquiring more Turquiose shares on open market? Investor rights agreement prevents or ??? GLTA ---it will be interesting on this!
