Bucco
Bucco,
Very glad to hear, hope things continue well for you.
I've been in both camps, money is nice, it can never buy happiness, but being broke sucks.
True story:
Surething was worth several million in 1980 at the age of 25. Damn just gave age away ;)
Wine, women and song, and a little bit of gambling took it all away and I mean all.
Luckily surething had a high paying job, or that surely would have been the end of him.
I worked in the oil business, North Sea, and Middle East..........too many years offshore.....also why I despise boats and will never own.
Over years I've learned to diversify.......unlike the old surething, never bet the farm, and be willing to invest in what you believe in. Be willing to wait.....markets don't always follow one's timetable.
If reasoning is sound, investment will prevail.
Power of gold.......Bucco
Don't base golds value say over the past 10 years(Bucco). Base it on 5000 years of stored value. Gold doesn't react on momentary whims, due to papered over leverage. The papering over of gold merely puts a longer delayed phase angle on it's reaction. Look at market singularities in early 70s, late 70s, and circa 2009. The smart central reserve banks have been accumulating as we are reaching another singularity......the upcoming deleveraging event...... can't say which is the cause or effect, just know that out of control printing of currencies have contributed mightily.
Sorry, didn't want to come off sounding like a preacher. I wish the very best for everyone, even you Bucco, hope you know I'm just having fun with you.
Best
S
