RE:Best BBAgain we are blessed to have such expert and informed opinions and advice from
Experience and Obscure all at the touch of a click. Professional advice, meaning
depth of knowledge and years of experience for free is extemely rare and yet here
it is. Each post seem like a gem and surpasses the previous one. These guys could
write a column and get paid however kudos to them for dispensing their financial
largesse so willingly.
I have been in the markets for over 50 yrs( I'm an old guy now) and yet it never ceases
to amaze me how my brain gets stimulated by critical thinking and analysis in reference to the markets. It is the ultimate challenge of our abilities to play this game and be
rewarded for correct thinking. The added spur is when you have your own money
on the line.
The caution signs are blinking red but at the same time I see counter acting forces
clouding the landscape making it difficult to be decisive about outcomes. We are in
a war situation that is causing normal responses to be exagerrated. The war on
inflation is not going to be won on the interest rate field but on the battlefield. I don't
know how much tolerance there is for more rate hikes as the cure might be worse
than the disease. That said I continue to be cautious and am holding a large cash
position. The rest is in oil & gas which I will continue to hold. These are my thoughts
this Sunday afternoon and all the best to everyone and in particular, our two resident
analysts.
