ProShares Short SmallCap600 T.SBB

Primary Symbol: SBB

The investment seeks daily investment results that correspond to the inverse (-1x) of the daily performance of the S&P SmallCap 600 Index. The fund invests in financial instruments that ProShare Advisors believes, in combination, should produce daily returns consistent with the funds investment objective. The index is a measure of small-cap company U.S. stock market performance. It is a float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index of 600 U.S. operating companies selected through a process that factors in criteria such as liquidity, price, market capitalization, financial viability and public float. The fund is non-diversified.

For the record

For the recordMy invesment style is to position in undervalued assets mostly JR miners/explorers that I think have scale to attract majors for the a buy out at a premium to the market trading price.I have had at least 15 takeovers some by Barrick and yes when it happens I move on to find other targets.I'am not interested to hold the paper of the buyer(such as Barrick) if its a paper transaction rather than a cash deal.If the paper offer raises the SP of the target and I feel its fair and do not expect a counter offer I sell. Some people get upset with my style of investing/speculating when I suggest the company they hold shares in might be in play.Thats OK with me as mines are depleating assets from the first day of production so I hold no mining stocks long term as the SP curve starts to gain then peak then decline over the life of the mine.I fully subscribe to the Lassonde curve.During the discovery phase the SP gets over bought on hype, then peaks as a company like SBB decides to build the mine many shareholders exit to avoid the wait time for permits and the build. At that point the SP gets over sold in relation to the MRE.That then becomes the reason it attacts the major as it allows the major to pay a premium to the over sold price with allowing a fair price for both the seller and the buyer. If no major steps in to buy then the market starts to price in a cash flow positive multiple to the PE.In my view SBB is over sold and I fully expect a buy out or a multiple to be reflected in the SP with in the next 2 years well before any gold pour.So either way I will get my ride to the bank in a Brinks truck. If some one does not like that OH WELL.
