RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:GMN has bought back 13 m shares since 2012MSV is a good one. Company has gone no where for years and years. Trading below the value of it's cash and securities. Has two projects in China. I have no idea if they have any value. Perhaps Felipe Tan has an idea or knows mining people in China that could help him evaluate the "opportunity".
Another I keep mentioning is Aimia. A 3rd is Africa Oil. These all trade in "Candyland". That is Canada, on these lawless securities exchanges. Mr. Tan could in theory get 10% of Africa Oil. Via open market purchases. It is cheap. Has about $150M US in cash net of debts. So the EV is about $800M US. Trades for about 2X EV/EBITDA when I deduct the positive working capital.
Would be easy to hedge the production to lock in the cash flows to pay back and debt or equity investmtnet so you reduce the financial risk to near zero. About 25K BOE production/day.
Low operating expense. Low cap-ex will increase some in the next 12 months to do some development drilling. Has many other projects and company investments that provide further "upside". I think these 3 are Fish in a barrell. There are sharehoders here with 10-20 % but not enough to be a blocking stake. Historically there has been very little shareholder turnout at the annual meetings so I think IF given a choice shareholders will go for new BOD candidates.
