Gold Symposium Importance Belem hosts the Gold Symposium and the Amazon Mining Fair

The Gold Symposium and the Amazon Mining Fair, which will take place in Belem from August 23 to 25, will bring together companies, governments and specialists to discuss best practices in the production, refining and commercialization of gold in the country.
The opening of the event will be attended by specialists, authorities and representatives of the main companies operating in the precious metals segment in Brazil. Dr. Nicole Adshead, Canadian expert, will give the keynote on the challenges of medium and small mining. Next, the Amazon Mining Fair will be inaugurated.
Jose Fernando Gomes Jr. Secretary of Sedeme – Secretary of Development, Energy and Mining of the State of Para says about the event: “Para is the largest mining state and gold is one of the raw materials that Para exports. We are going to have a gold refinery this year. We will also discuss all types of mining in the state, with respect for the environment and sustainability”.
The schedule on 08/24 begins with a panel on Responsible Gold Production. Next, Mining Financing Challenges in Brazil; Regulatory Aspects of Gold Mining; and ends by bringing to the debate the importance of the Environment and Relationship with Communities.
On 08/25, the meeting will have a panel dedicated to the main provinces and the geology of gold in Brazil, representatives of the Geological Survey of Brazil, USP and UFMG will present the main regions with potential for the discovery of gold deposits in Brazil. Next, the Relevant Gold Enterprises, Advanced Projects for the exploration of precious metals in the country will be addressed.
