Desperatiion or Deception.....or BOTH?When i read the article at the end of this link (posted below), i tell myself, this is why we have problems with transparency & honesty with these publicly traded entities in the stock market. And why most folks eventually lose their monies. It's a totally travesity that we have suspect writeups like this, in a large & supposedly "credible" source like The Globe&Mail. Which in my mind are trying to pass off things or sell investments which are NOT exactly what they seem and puts into question the validity of almost anything you read or hear.
I guess if there's anything positive to take away form this it's the following. That century old axion "Caveat Emptor" which has stood the test of time & continues to remain true to this day, must be adhered to completely & followed ...always. In addition, always vette the source & question it, no matter where it comes from. The Globe&Mail might have been a credible publication many decades ago, but today with dubious articles such as this, it shows the changing of the times and it's age in relation to the real sources information.
The article itself, link here https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/markets/stocks/DM-X/pressreleases/10042679/five-top-electric-vehicle-charging-stocks-that-could-accelerate-to-higher-highs/, sad in many ways should be completely ignored by investors who are interested in investing & exposing themselves financially in this sector. The EV space is still quite new & evolving and many people are still trying to figures things out & exactly where it stands. But take it from me, one who's been looking, digging & researching this industry for years, along with several investments over that period, i KNOW what i'm talking about. The person who did that write up does not, and if they actually do, they're being deceptive.
Just the "rumors" that Data "TheNextTrix" Metrex mgmt actually PAID ($5000 cdn i believe) to be actually included in that write among those players, is a sad case in itself for both DM & G&G. Not sure who's actually looking worse here in terms of optics, as both look real bad here for the actions they've taken. If one looks at the companies that were listed, you have Tesla (of course) and no one can dispute they are number one in the EV space. The rest, apart from DM which i'll get to in minute here, you have Blink, Evgo & Wallbox. The last, while a multi billion $$ company, is debatable of whether they should be included in the TOP 5. I personally would not put them in the top 5, mabye there's a case ot be made for Top 10 but not Top 5 for Wallbox....IMO. The others Blink & EVgo belong there, IF we're talking specifically about EV chargers & nothing else.
Now for Data "TheNextTrix" Metrex being included among those companies, or making a case for them being there, is just pure BS. No matter HOW you look at it! If we are taling solely about EV charging here, Then Tesla, Chargepoint (which was miraculously omitted by the author in favor of DM LOL), Blink, Evgo and maybe Evbox. If you include EV manufacturers also, then the list changes quite a bit. But no matter HOW you look at it, on whatever planet, universe, mulitvers or whatever 4th dimension your from, there's NO WAY in hell DM should be included there. But i guess things change when you can grease the wheels with a little cash pointed in the right direction, right? Anything is possible then LOL.
Anyway folks, that's about ALL i had to say on the subject.....for now. I just thought people should know the "realities" & facts BEFORE they actually put any of their hard earned cash anywhere in this space. If anyone has any questions on this obscure, scrwed up board about this sector, i'll gladly answer them if i can. Later chaps.......
