RE:EU Gears Up to Tax Fossil Fuel Companies

RE:EU Gears Up to Tax Fossil Fuel CompaniesThey obviously haven't been paying attention to Bidens mehodology.  He had a similar
approach and tried punishing the oil sector with his anti fossil fuel policy only to find
out that oil & gas was still needed with the price suddenly out of control.  The
unintended consequences  of that ill founded policy was out of control inflation.

The unintended consequences of a windfall taxation policy will be to disincentivize the
very industry that you need the most co-operation from.  That is not going to provide
the future energy security that they are seeking.  They need to consult their playbook and come up with something better than this if they want a viable long term solution.
