Marathon Gold Corporation is a Canada-based gold exploration and development company. The Company’s primary business focus is the exploration and development of its flagship asset, the wholly owned Valentine Gold Project, located in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Its no wonder why Marathon Gold is now "Flop of the Year" as the share price lost over 70% of its peak value, mostly due to poor cost control, managerial impotence, and managerial stupidity in getting private placements for financing which has no tax benefits as opposed to debt financing which actually saves money as a result of being tax deductible and reducing "Weighted Average Cost of Capital" or Required Rate of Return.

You don't need a Finance Degree to figure that one out.
