“As we are actively working our sales efforts on FoodService and Retail nationally, we didn’t want to lose sight of creating some local excitement about our products. The Greater Vancouver Region has over 2.5 million consumers, and this Expo is a low-cost way to target the plant-based consumer; as part of the show, we teamed up with Directfoods.com to get our products home-delivered. With everything being local and with Directfoods.com delivery, we reduce our packaging costs significantly. The response from attendees at Planted Expo has been exceptional. The Company has been receiving orders online since the show started on Saturday, and we look for growth opportunities for the business everywhere.” August 29, 2022 - Naturally Splendid CFO Mr. George Ragogna stated,
"We are continuing to implement our plan focused on our plant-based opportunities, most notably PlanteinTM Plant-Based Foods. With most Covid restrictions now removed, we have been able to meet clients face to face at several trade shows after a multi-year hiatus, to promote the launch of our PlanteinTM retail line while developing national distribution and sales relationships. Responses from the trade shows have been overwhelmingly positive, resulting in multiple new accounts as well as building the foundation for many new business opportunities. The plant-based market is maturing, and consumers are demanding higher quality products, most notably beginning with taste. Feedback from these recent tradeshows has confirmed we have amongst the best tasting plant-based products available in the Canadian market, and demand for our PlanteinTM line continues to gain traction." I checked the Planted Expo site and found this statement:
Over 10,000 attendees walked through our doors at Planted Expo Vancouver! No I am not suggesting that every single one of those over 10,000 attendees got to test the Plantein
TM product, loved it, will be buying it and continue to do so. I am suggesting that every one of them made the effort to attend the show and look for products that they would buy/eat. So if they did taste the Plantein
TM product & liked it they will probably make the effort to find where they can buy the product. Carson & Ragogna’s comments tend to bear that out.
