Recently read reprint of one of Richard Russell's last published newsletters that I remember reading when first published. It is on King World News. The accuracy of his prodictions are uncanny. I never though a third wave of bull market would manifest. He said it was when all the stupid money would be made and he was right. Ultimately he said that gold would win in the end. That gold had stood for 5000 years and it would be the last man standing after Rome burns. I buried my mother this week and gave her Eulogy. My twin brother and I both. His was excellent, mine pretty good. An 85 year old woman had 250 people come out for her. Beautiful outdoor service on the Mississippi Coast with an Irish Priest. Nothing like an Irish Priest. The world changes when you give your mothers Eulogy. In bringing it to a close I stated that her final words to all would be" to say your prayers every night, to love your fellow man, to share your successes with the less fortunate, to encourage all to be the best at all endevours, to always believe in yourself, and to cherish your friends and family with all of your heart." We played two songs- to open "The Parting Glass" by the High Kings and to close" Danny Boy". It was very moving for me. Very simple, yet beautiful. It always suprizes you who comes to a funeral. I will try to never miss one that means something to me. Sunset cocktails at the Gulport Yacht Club, with a magnificent warm and peaceful days end. I know not why I write all of this here. I suppose I feel connected to you all. I wish you all could have been there. When you write your mother's Eulogy, one goes through an amazing amout of self -reflection, and deep soul searching- looking for the perfect memories to share so that perhaps you can immortilzed her in some small fashion.
