RE:Why would federal reserve want a usa recession?

RE:Why would federal reserve want a usa recession? The only way to tame inflation is to jack up interest rates. During the 1929 crash and the ensuing great depression the biggest mistake was governments lowing interest rates which only made the situation worse. You have to rein in the out of control spending by the populace  and really this bunch of misfits running Canada did nothing to put away money for a rainy day when things were actually pretty good either. They spent like drunken sailors in the good times and they continue to spend and waste money in the bad. They were warned that the day and age of no, to non exsistant interest rates, would eventually come to an end. Just how much is that 1.2 trillion debt of Trudeaus costing us every day now as he chases our number one economic driver, energy, out of the country also??
