RE:The old duck and punch

RE:The old duck and punchBigrig16 - One gating factor in making a deal with US Government is the lawsuits. The US Government does not want to pay off lawsuits with US taxpayer money especially lawsuits launched in foreign country aka Canada. It's not a good news storey for US political and bureaucratic leaders to fund a project and have some of the proceeds go to lawsuits. Given one the lawsuits is about IP, and the technology proves unsuccessful in a trial plant, the lawsuit could be extended to cover the US entity funding the plant. So, I suspect Severs (and the remaining plantiffs) has leverage which is delaying any forward movement in building a plant in USA.

If I’m right, these lawsuits need to be addressed in the form of expeditious payouts or end up in long litigation. With respect to the former, does WMG print shares, issue a debenture/bonds/preferred shares and sell Mg from the pilot plant. As for the later, WMG is running on fumes and lawyers don't work for free. Again, Severs has leverage with time and money being his ally.
