RE:Spectrum vs SpectrumI think that one problem is that Edgewater has been saying for 10 years that we were running out of spectrum, but by all appearances that hasn't been the case. More amnd more spectrum has been acquired through sharing and what we have used more efficiently. As your article says,
"If all the players involved were willing to put their cards on the table, with transparency and information sharing (and perhaps a role for industry in identifying innovative technology that could come into play), then it might be easier to distinguish between “artificial scarcity” and “actual scarcity” of spectrum. "
I've always noted that private companies who prove their products worthy through their success without going public tend to do better overall. I think it's because they put way way more personal risk and money into their success before private investors come on board to take them further. In contrast you can see the kind of companies the Venture Exchange fosters with a guaranteed salary and lack of personal risk. JMO.
