Ivanhoe Electric - Sparton & VRB EnergySignature Goldfinger on CEO.CA Ivanhoe Electric shared a link from Thom Calandra with some comments regarding VRB Energy and also Sparton Resources.
@Goldfinger Good read from Thom Calandra at the Denver Gold Show "— Frank Fannon, a director of Ivanhoe Electric IE (FORMER U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT): “The company is focused on technology for the electrification of the world … copper, gold, nickel, silver. … We have a battery company, VRB Energy … to allow for (grid-scale grid) battery storage.” I own shares of approx. 9-percent VRB owner Sparton Resources SPNRF SRI and look to add.
VRB’s grid-scale batteries use vertical integration of vanadium with electrolytes and are envisioned for IE’s Santa Cruz copper project across a former ranch site in Arizona, and on private land. “These projects have been hand-picked by Robert (Friedland) and the team.”
Frank said that he (he is also former BHP) and others, led by founder Robert Friedland, see “the primacy of developing assets at home … “to advance U.S. security and U.S energy transition.” I own shares of another company in the group, (Africa) Ivanhoe Mines IVN IVPAF.
Robert Friedland (above) in his luncheon address said Santa Cruz is the second largest copper project in the lower 48 states. “It will become the largest; read our press releases to understand why.”"
