Road issues Hello fellow Verde shareholders.
There appears to be some confusion with the road issues, which is unfortunate as there really should be none. Open GoogleMaps and search for Sao Gotardo. Follow the MG234 out of the town heading due east, then turn north onto the LMG764. About 3km along this road you will see the Verde Plant 1, which you can view using the street view function. The picture is from May 2022, look at all those trucks!
Now head north on the fully paved LMG764 for about 6 km. There is a turn off to the right, just before you go under the high tension power lines which cross the LMG764, Follow this unpaved backroad as it heads NE towards the village of Matutina, veering to the right to follow the road to the east end of the town. This is where you join the road to the co-located mine site and Plant 2.
Note: you could stay on the LMG764 until it comes level with Matutina and take the road into and through the village. This would work if you are in a car, but not so good in a huge tandem truck hauling glauconite ore. The village residents reasonably object and protest when huge trucks drive through their village and residential areas.
The unpaved road to the mine site can be easily traced as the most direct route. Look for Agua Mineral Matutina reference on the map and you will confirm you are following the right road. This is the only road in question, and it is this existing road that is being re-engineered and upgraded to a all weather paved road at Verde's expense. Once completed it will regularly handle the 600,000 tonnes per year in raw ore being delivered for processing at Plant 2 (about 22 km away) - say 200 trucks a day, along with the 1,200,000 tonnes per year of finished product from Plant 2 - say 400 trucks per day. So a total of 600 trucks a day (each way) over a 12 hour day (7am to 7 pm) would be 50 trucks an hour or one passing every 72 seconds, which is clearly doable.
Hope this helps clarrify matters, let me know if you have any other questions I can help with.
Cheers.
