The dilema with batteries is they need to reduce the size of the anodes and cathodes, so they can store more power within the same size battery footprint.
They also need to be able to charge batteries very quickly so depending upon the materials used to make anodes and cathodes, most will over heat and catch fire.
The only material thus far that can have a small footprint and very high heat tolerance is tungsten.
